Enjoying more sun and warm temperatues makes March always the most fun month for all here in southwest Florida. Lee County is crammed with visitors, from all over the country and the world. Spring baseball with the Boston Red Sox and Minnesota twins along with terrific golf courses, spectacular beaches, great fishing, and fine food and beverage make Lee County Florida the place to be. With today's announcement of a reduction to 8.9% in unemployment nationwide, and recent closings of home sales with mortgages, maybe higher gas prices won't comprimise our housing market recovery. Speaking about the jobs sector, my Florida Realtor magazine, www.floridarealtor.com posted an article regarding an increase to 142,454 new jobs in Florida if our housing state trust funds were not used to cover shortages in our areas. I would welcome new infusion of wage earners to our tax base. Our early March focus is to continue to work for a return to a stable and vibrant housing market for our paradise found.
