Remember back to Three Dog Night and  "Pieces of April" and the lyrics transitioning into... " it's a morning In May"... well it's May in our Sunshine state and our legislature is trying to pass a $65 billion dollar spending budget that will be made up of greater amount of Federal aid than state generated revenues. With Federal grants up over 15% in the first quarter, sales tax slipping over 2%, and property taxes "slip sliding away", www.simonsndgarfunkel.com, are regulated in 46 states on fast they can rise or fall.

Our budget is going to wallop Floridians for aabout $800 million in fees for license and driving fees (don't speed in school or construction zones :(:(   ) and of course lets hit the smokers fora buck more a pack. Cut state workers over $45k by 2%, and ask every voter in our 67 counties to raise our  property tax base to help fund schools The shell corporations formed by some landowners to avoid the state documentary stamps loophole was shut. When our friend in Casa Blanca, www.flimsite.org/casa.html ,  Captain Renault said " I'm shocked, shocked to find that gambling is going on in here! ..." and then proceeded to collect, it reminds me of the "good guy/bad guy" wrestling match going on between Governor Charlie Crist and the Florida Legislature. Stay tuned.
